In traditional ayurvedic practices, spring is a time for detoxing. This six-week program presented by Hamilton yoga teacher Jenna Anderson will focus on renewal and rebalance through a combination of hatha yoga, ayurvedic education and meditation.
This program is open to students of all levels, especially beginners! Yoga mats and other equipment will be provided. Please come prepared in comfortable clothing.
What is Hatha Yoga?
Hatha yoga is a gentle introduction to the most basic yoga postures. You can expect to leave a Hatha yoga class feeling longer, looser, and more relaxed.
Hatha is also translated as ha meaning “sun” and tha meaning “moon.” This refers to the balance of masculine aspects—active, hot, sun—and feminine aspects—receptive, cool, moon—within all of us. Hatha yoga is a path toward creating balance and uniting opposites.
Jenna was introduced to yoga almost ten years ago and has been practicing ever since. After trying many different styles of yoga over the years, she found her true self through the practice of Hatha yoga. Now a certified Hatha Yoga Instructor (200 RYT) Jenna believes in practicing yoga for longevity. Jenna enjoys sharing ayurvedic knowledge throughout her classes in an effort to help her students achieve balance in the body and mind.
